MK Ultra & LSD
MK Ultra used LSD to test with the idea of proving brainwashing could be achieved through drugging a subject in order to see the effects. They were also tasked with finding an antidote.

The most famous case is that of Frank Olson, who was alleged to have jumped from the Statler Hotel in Manhattan. It’s not clear if it was an accident if he jumped or was pushed. The family was not told about the LSD dosing for a long time after.
